Carol has never given up, refusing to live in the shadows of her own life as a victim.
Author and mother of two wonderful children, Carol Higgins has conquered more than her fair share of turmoil: violent childhood
abuse, crippling cancer and the traumatic passing of her beloved sister, Donna, have all challenged this remarkable Yorkshire woman
through the depths of her mind to the very core of her body. Only eight months after she underwent nine hours of surgery to remove the tumour that threatened her life, Carol\u2019s determination compelled her to set off to fulfil a life-time dream: conquering the biggest free-standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carol\u2019s book, Conquering the Impossible, is told in her own witty, engrossing voice. Carol brings the reader into the journey she
undertook and whisks them through the throng of far-away
airports and tourist traps, culminating in above-cloud magic at the
top of the world.
Carol has appeared on regional and BBC radio numerous times,
been published in newspapers and online magazines and conducts regular inspirational talks across Yorkshire and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carol gives inspirational and motivational talks with great experience on the following subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Climbing mountains (and a number of other extreme activities,
